Spring is the unofficial start of farmer's market season, and both of Oxford's weekly markets are opening for business.
The Oxford Community Market kicked off its spring season April 23 and is open every Tuesday from 3-6:30 p.m. now through December. The market is held at the Old Armory Pavilion on the corner of University Ave. and Bramlett Blvd. In addition to local, seasonal produce, the market offers live music, children's activities, cooking demonstrations and more. The Mid-Town Farmers Market kicks off Saturday, May 4 and is open Saturdays and Wednesdays from 7-11 a.m. in the Mid-Town Shopping Center. The Mississippi Certified market showcases Mississippi farmers and vendors who provide locally grown and produced food.
