Splinter Creek Featured in Local Palate

Sonia Thompson

The summer issue of The Local Palate magazine features Splinter Creek in an article titled "What's Good in the Neighborhood."

The article in the Charleston, South Carolina-based magazine, features Splinter Creek as an example of a Southern agrihood that provides residential connections to the land.

"Homes are designed so that you see the northern Mississippi countryside outside the window, not someone else's house, yet are close enough to one another that kids can run outdoors and play with the neighbors. Green space is intentionally open for stargazing and other activities, as well as supporting the 350 species of wildlife living on the land," the article reads.

In addition to Splinter Creek, two other agrihoods in Bentonville, Arkansas, and Johns Island, South Carolina, were highlighted.
