Houses are not the only thing being built at Splinter Creek lately. In addition to the ongoing construction happening on the property, our community of neighbors and friends is blossoming.
To celebrate that growth, last month we hosted summer Friday concerts on the Community Porch.
Beloved Oxford band the Yalobushwhackers played the last show to a packed porch. Splinter Creek residents and their guests picnicked on the lush lawn with snacks and drinks, enjoyed refreshing hand crafted Oxsicles, and visited between sets.
Some homeowners paddled over in their boats and enjoyed the music directly from the lake. Others enjoyed the short hike down the hill to the porch with children and blankets in tow.
The concert series highlighted one of the most appealing aspects of the property, which is the community it represents. When neighbors gather to enjoy Splinter Creek together, the property becomes even more alive. Tell us, what kinds of community events would you like to enjoy in the future?
